The following Privacy Policy applies to your use of all websites, mobile applications, and other products and services owned, controlled, operated, or hosted (whether now or in the future) by Venues .

This Privacy Policy sets forth certain terms and conditions of the legal contract between you and Venues  with respect to your use of the Venues  Services, whether you are a Visitor, Free Account Holder, or Member. This Privacy Policy discloses what type of information is collected, the methods used to collect it, how Venues  utilizes the information to better serve all interested parties and the choices you have about the way your information is collected and used. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.Your use of the Venues  Services indicates that you have read, accepted and unconditionally agreed to Venues ’s privacy practices as outlined in this Privacy Policy and any other applicable terms.

Venues  is the data controller for your Personal Data (as defined below). Venues  is operated from and hosted on servers in the United States. If you are outside of the United States and access the Venues  Services or submit your Personal Data to us, please be advised that U.S. law may not offer the same privacy protections as the law of your jurisdiction. If you visit the Venues  Services or contact us from outside of the United States, please be advised that any information you provide to us or that we automatically collect will be transferred to the United States and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect and Receive

Venues  collects user submitted information including but not limited to name, email address, and age to authenticate users and to send notifications relating to the Venues  Services to those users. In order to enrich the user experience, Venues  may also collect other data either directly or via third-party sign-on services including but not limited to: personal interests, location, IP address, language, gender, age, education, and occupation. User account information, including User Materials and names, may also be collected and displayed in order to enrich the user experience and facilitate user interaction through the Venues  Services and in email communications.

Apart from notifying friends about content you have created, your email address is not shared or publicly displayed within the Venues  Services. Your full name, to the extent collected and stored, is never directly revealed to other users unless authorized by you.

Legitimate Interest – We use your name and email address to communicate with you regarding your account, your purchases and/or other transactions with Venues  , changes in our Terms of Service, Terms of Sale, and/or Privacy Policy, and other matters relating to your account with Venues  . It also enables us to send you announcement emails about our new content, features, services, products, promotions, etc.

  • Security and monitoring: Your IP address

Legitimate Interest – We record your IP address for a number of purposes, including security and monitoring purposes, system administration and to report aggregate information to our business partners or to audit use of the Venues  Services.

  • Simplify the Creation of Collaborative Content: Your face data within your User Materials

Affirmative Consent – When you upload User Materials, we may utilize facial recognition software to identify faces within your User Materials and create personalized face images for you to incorporate into our Venues  Content. Additionally, we collect the coordinates of the mouth/jaw within the image of the identified face in order to automate the process of positioning the face image within Collaborative Content. We collect this face data solely to simplify the personalization of our Ecards and GIFs, and we do not store any face data once these face images have been created or share your face data with any third parties.

  • Share Content or invitations: Your email address and email addresses of friends and family

Affirmative Consent – We use your email address and the email address of your friend or family member when you choose to send Content or invitations to friends via the Venues  Services or third-party single sign-on services. We may store the email addresses that you provide so that Venues  can send notifications authorized by you and related reminders to such email addresses. Venues  does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides those initiated by users and invitation reminders initiated by Venues  .

What information do we collect?

Personally Identifiable Information. Use of certain features of the Website may require submission of certain personal information, including your and recipient’s first and last name, email address. Account related information like name, email address, user id, date of birth, password, IP and details about your transactions that you carry related to your account, is collected in association with your use of our services. Other account related information which you may or may not provide includes mobile number, location, religion, language country, about yourself, family details and other information which may be used to provide you related content.

Non-personally identifiable Information. Venues  may also collect or receive additional non-personally identifiable usage information specifically related to the use of a particular feature or offering on the Website, and responses to the offerings and advertisements presented on the Website. Venues  may also collect or receive certain non-personally identifiable technical information, when the Website and pages are visited or when a Venues  client is used. If we combine demographic or similar information with the Personal Information we collect, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy.

Supplemented Data. Supplemented data may be received about you from other sources, including social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. in which case we combine this data with information that we already have about you, so that we can update, expand and analyze the accuracy of our records, identify new customers, and provide products and services that may be of interest to you.

What is Venues .com’s practice regarding IP addresses?

We collect and analyze traffic on our website by keeping track of the IP addresses of our visitors. IP addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are assigned to each computer browser accessing the Internet. An IP address, by itself, cannot identify you personally. However, when combined with other information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your IP address can be used to identify the computer originating a message.

Venues .com includes the sender’s IP Address in the source of each ecard HTML that is created at the website. This is available to the ecard recipient and anyone else who has access to the recipient’s ecard. This limits your ability to communicate anonymously using ecards. Ecards are not intended for anonymous communications, and such activity is expressly prohibited by our Terms of Use.

What does Venues .com do with the ecard messages & information?

When you send one of our ecards, the information you provide to us is used to customize your greeting with the recipient’s name and with your message, and to deliver an e-mail to the recipient. We treat our ecards as private correspondence between the sender and the recipient and the contents will not be disclosed to anyone other than the intended recipient.

Under normal circumstances, we will not monitor or edit the contents of the online ecards you send. Occasion, however, we may need to view your message in connection with the technical processing of your ecard or the maintenance of our network. Also, if you ask one of our customer service representatives to help you send an ecard or to verify that an ecard was sent, that representative will be able to access all information about the ecard, including the recipient’s e-mail address and the message.

If we have reason to believe, that an ecard has been sent using a false e-mail address or attempt to pose as someone else sending an ecard, information about you – including your computer’s IP address – may be disclosed as part of any investigation into your actions.

Your Control over Your Information

Venues  may provide functionality on some Platforms to update your contact information and/or preferences through a “My Account”section. If you submit a request to update your contact information, Venues  will make good faith efforts to make requested changes in our then active databases as soon as reasonably practicable. Note, however, that information may persist internally for Venues ’ administrative purposes and that residual data may remain on backup media or for other reasons. Please also note that if you are the user of one of our Apps, you may be able to review and update your Personal Information or preferences only through the website associated with that App.

You may opt out of receiving marketing e-mails from us by following the opt-out instructions provided to you in those e-mails. Please note that we reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to your use of the website and these transactional messages may be unaffected if you opt-out from marketing communications.

Venues ’s Privacy Policy is to share personal information only with the owner’s informed consent. With your consent, from time-to-time, Venues  may provide its business partners with contact details for direct marketing purposes of relevant services, products, and programs. If you no longer wish your information to be shared, please let us know. If you have further inquiries regarding Venues ’s information sharing practices,

Administrative and Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information, including Personal Information to third parties

(i) if we are required to respond to subpoenas or other legal process or if in our opinion such disclosure is required by law;

(ii) at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation;

(iii) to protect and/or defend the Platforms or any of the Venues ’ rights and property, or to enforce the Terms of Service or other policies applicable to the Platforms; or

(iv) to respond to an emergency or otherwise protect the personal safety or security of any of the Venues  or any third party. We may also use Device Identifiers to identify users, and may do so in cooperation with copyright owners, Internet service providers, wireless service providers, or law enforcement agencies in our discretion. These disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.

End Users

If your user platform created with Venues  Website Maker or any of Venues  services related to your user platform are ceased, it may cause or result in the loss of certain content including but not limited to user data, user content, domain name reservation or registration processes. Venues  shall not be held liable for such capacity loss, or for not saving a backup of your user account, content or the data of your end users.

You are responsible for the security and authorized usage of the personal information you collect from your end users. You shall obtain consents and provide all required notices for the collection and usage of such data.

Venues  may process non-personal and personal Information from your end users solely on your behalf. When a user collects the end user data via third party services like Gmail or manages the contacts via the user platform, Venues  stores this data on behalf of the user and in no way shall be considered a controller of such data. The ւsers controlling and operating such Information are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that may apply to the collection and control of such data.

Right to Access

You have a right to ask for a copy of your personal information that we possess at any time. If you wish to do so, please contact us at support@Venues.ng and after verifying your identity. The only case we will not be able to provide you with such access would be it affecting the rights and freedom of others. You have a full access to any personal information you provide us and you can change or delete it at any time. You can directly change your username by logging in to the website and accessing your profile settings. And you can request our support team to change your email address whenever there is a need to do so. Unfortunately, it’s technically impossible for you to do it on your own for now.

Privacy of Children

The services or products of our website are suitable for people who are at least 18 years or older. If you are younger than 18, please don’t give us your personal information or use our website without a parental supervision. We comply with the Children’s online Privacy Protection Act and encourage parents or guardians to monitor their children’s use of Venues .
